R.K. Narayanan: Brief Bio

Rasipuram Krishnaswami Iyer Narayanaswami, popularly known as R.K. Naryanan (1906- 2001) was an Indian author who has won many prominent awards including Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibushan. The author’s distinctive savvy writing skills are undeniable in Indian Literature. In his literary life, he has written 34 novels, “Swami and Friends” (1935) being his first. He has also written non-fiction works such as prose versions of Ramayana and Mahabharata.
