Stephen Leacock- Brief Bio

Stephen Leacock was born on 30th December 1869 in Hampshire, England. Years after migrating to Canada, he attended the University of Toronto, where he received his degree in Bachelor of Arts. Later in 1903, he attained a Ph.D. in Economics and Political science from the University of Chicago.
Stephen Leacock writes about human follies in a satirical and humor-based manner. His first story was published in 1894. His work, “Elements of Political Science” published in 1906 was regarded as his best-selling work. He was awarded Canada’s Lorne Pierce Medal for his contribution to Canadian Literature in 1937.
